Zero no Kiseski VS Zero no Kiseki EVOLUTION
Well, that took me quite a while. :/
You see, I was looking through Falcom’s websites and going through all their products (and taking note of just how much I gotta save in order to get the Chinese versions in the future - and note that it is in chinese - I have long given up after looking at how long Xseed takes to localise the kiseki series) when I saw that Falcom has remade Zero no kiseki onto the PSVita. Into Zero no Kiseki Evolution. Unfortunately I only have really a minimal grasp of the japanese language but they offer this addition to the gameplay - Voice acting for all the important scenes in the game and lip synching. New CGs and event videos - new openings. Also, new, remixed music. Evolution’s music tells a lot about the kind of quality of music the vita can recreate. However though the boring music from walking through Crossbells’ roads were greatly enhanced, and the limit break music and the battle music were really an exciting listen, those tracks that really moves your heartstrings in Zero were dampened - and frankly, more boring. I compare it to the original soundtrack of Zero. And well, I went back to listening the original soundtrack for the touching tracks.

It is pretty emo if you ask me (I mean the picture). But they didn’t add many touching tracks in the arranged soundtrack - which is a good move.
Well, if it means I can get to hear more of Randy’s seiyuu then by all means I will get evolution when it gets localised. I don’t think it will be localised in Chinese anymore so I am looking at Xseed now. The PSP is the present Xseed, but the Vita is the future. If you are going to localise a new kiseki series, go localise Sora no kiseki: FC/SC -Changed- and Zero no kiseki - Evolution. I bet you won’t see your sales falter. -.- it is precisely because they kept delaying the kiseki series for the ys series that it doesn’t really seem to do as well. ):

As I said, I like LloydXRandy. Which no one else, apparently, does. Neither does anyone like GintokiXMadao I guess. And yup, by right, Randy is supposed to be paired up with Mirielle. But she doesn’t want to say her true feelings and Randy is just run run run away~. At least Lloyd is upfront about what he feels, even though he embarrassed everyone in the process.
(“YOU ARE MY WOMAN.”) - Lloyd Bannings. Poor Noel. He doesn’t even mean it that way. ):
And look at the last pic. nuuuuuu ;-; it is hard to believe this is a legit drawing from the company and not some kind of fanart. So what, is it canon that Ellie becomes a sexualised object for the male gamers to drool over? It is okay if you draw her in a bikini. But to have her half-dressed…even Tio is given some respect in this regard. She never had to strip to gain fans. Nor does she need Lloyd to have some sort of personality. Hell even her buddy Jonas is a much more interesting character than Ellie ever was. Ellie used to have some personality in Zero. In Ao, she took the back seat all the way - unless you purposefully, as Lloyd, went to look her up in Missyland or asked her to join you in Missions and went to talk to her under the moon. She started to regain her personality when Mariabelle started going haywire - actually giving some sort of an opinion (of her own, not of politics or the country or what is good for everyone). Looking at this picture saddens me. I don’t use Ellie much in Ao because she just isn’t as good as Noel is in shooting. She is a lot better as a support character. Now other than the rare mother and father of Kea teasing in the story, which is so awkward I want to just bang my head on the wall and say “GO ELLIE GO FOR ITTTT SHOW HIM YOU LOVE HIM DEEP DEEP WITH A LOOK IN YOUR EYES LIKE ESTER HAS FOR RETSUYA”, there is so little to warrant that sudden confession at the end.
I’d rather go with the “Randy and I are really good friends” route. :X Because to me it is the most true route. Well, Wazy and Rixia routes will do too. Why? Because it actually feels like it will happen in real life. Maybe by a little stretch, Tio. For Noel, it feels like it is all embarrassment and jokes and no attraction involved. :/
For Rixia it is mutual understanding and her past that is bothering her. She hugged him at the end to express the overwhelming sadness that resurfaced out of the numbness of being Silver. No attachment required.
For Wazy, well you can see he confessed quite a few times (to Lloyd, of all people. You certainly are genderless). One can never be sure he is serious, because, hell he works as a host. He is supposed to give insincere sweet nothings. But hey, 2 muscle men were already following him around AND following his orders AND building their entire LIVES AROUND HIM. A small top in disguise as a bottom. Keh, he won the game of life and he won the hearts of muscle men. =_= I don’t think he really needed Lloyd’s heart.
For Randy, he tried and tried and TRIED to win the hearts of multiple women. But as the fortune teller says, he failed every single time. There is still Mirielle but for some reason he refused to admit it. The fortune teller did say that the 2 of them might advance into something more if they are willing (not in the near future though), and although Randy was suspicious at first (if you did, as Lloyd, as for a reading about your compatibility together), he did sigh upon hearing the reading and apologize to the other SSS girls that “well, looks like Lloyd’s going to be my everything.” He did, too, wonder if Lloyd was interested in him if you chose to drag him to ride the Ferris Wheel with you in Missyland. His reaction is normal, you know. And it really was a highlight to see his reaction. Wazy’s reaction isn’t but that’s just him being genderless. Well, he looks, feels, and reacts like a normal girl guy would in real life, so I chose him all the way. It might be because I am a woman playing an RPG. But hey, even if you both aren’t together, your dialogue is so playful I cannot imagine Lloyd finding a better friend in life. And Randy, the escapist, can never escape from the very direct to-the-point Lloyd.

To Jas: Okay, as I have said, I have finished Ao and Zero no kiseki. Hence I...
Hahaha you are right the post went off track halfway through. :/ I can’t stop my spoilery urges. ): I haven’t listened to the drama CDs yet but then again there is one drama cd for every chapter! D: that will be really difficult for me to understand and even i havent found the translations yet! if there is going to be seasonal changes in sen it kind of means it will span a longer period of time! If Lloyd is a pedo it isn’t like kea isn’t willing (:Okay, as I have said, I have finished Ao and Zero no kiseki. Hence I am going to write down what I feel about the 2 games. And actually, it may be rather spoilery, considering that the games aren’t out in English yet. But I try not to spoil much, especially since nearly everything else is already…
Many believe that Sen’s gotta start somewhere between zero and ao becoz of the slogan says ‘零から閃へ’ also it might be too tough for the new protagonists to start their journey right in a war =b

I’ve heard ppl saying that Lloyd just saved Kea n shit on Crossbell coz he’s just a pedo. =b He did mention (a lot) that Its wrong that they drag Kea into this crap so I do understand how ppl would think he just did the whole thing to save his daughter but I personally prefer to interpret it as ‘it’s wrong for a government to use its citizen’ which I think is the same as what many other ppl (including Mireille) think. but well its just my opinion
but one other thing I have to say. Crossbell was not free at all under Dieter’s control. thats pure dictatorship. like Libya and NK before. f*k I know Dieter means good but he’s just too stereotype economist, he could easily dump away minorities to risk for bigger benefits, which probably works well in the commercial world idk but ppl aint something he could give in. same with Ian, his plan sounds nice and mature but really if i have to find something close to his idea that’ll be China. From Gaddafi and Kim Jong-un to Peking, improvement, maybe, but really who wants that? (hmm no offence to any of these ppl)

bt srsly your post was only summary aka spoilers where were your reviews?=)) really happy to find other english speakers playin Zero-Ao =) such a shame that Xseed ain’t following up (i hope they didn’t drop this line :/)btw have you listened to the Drama cd that came with Ao? it’s actually kinda interesting, some insights of Lloyd’s thoughts =) and a few spin-off novels that falcom released, god i hate how they put really essential (to me) parts into spin-offs n i have to pay effking billion extra to know the whole story ;_;

BUT HEYYYYY WHO DO YOU SEE IN THIS WALLPAPER? I SEE ESTER, RETSUYA, ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS IN SORA (Sorry hahaha I haven’t played Sora. But I did see their OP and EDs so I kind of know he is kind of an important character), ESTER’S DAD AS THE REFEREE, GARCIA ROSSI, THE (EX)VICE PRESIDENT OF THE MAFIA OF CROSSBELL (DISBANDED) (Ehh, the Chinese localisation called it the Mafia. This guy is strong, and went to help Lloyd break out of the prison he put him in in Ao. Talk about forgiving and forgetting past grievances. -.- He knows Randy as the God of War’s son. And he used to be part of the second largest mecenary tribe.), MISSY, MIKHAIL (I don’t know if he appeared in the Sora games, but in Zero and Ao, he is a fairly minor character in charge of the Bracer Organisation in Crossbell), MARCONI (….-.-||| Sorry. after Zero, the Mafia of Crossbell are manipulated like kids. He, as their president, also lost my respect. He doesn’t have much of a personality, behaves like a kid…poor Garcia.).
I wonder if the Mafia are coming out in Sen. If so, I’d really really look forward to it. Garcia is a good, undeveloped character and if the Mafia escaped prison and are moving house…(we never did know his fate after he helped Lloyd’s prison break) well, the Erebonia may have a new crime sector coming to them. :X That said, the Mafia are funny, rather adorable baddies in Ao, and maybe in the end of Zero. So I will expect them to be more of comic relief. Those big serious Baddies are the Ouroboros. I think. You won’t know with Falcom actually.

Ahahaha all the 4 komas from Falcom Magazine Vol 27. Come to think of it…that blue haired lady looks very much like Tio…is she a relative of her?! We’ll have to wait and see then!
